Location:

Meeting point at the main entrance of the main building Geschwister-Scholl-Platz 1 80539 München

The exhibition "Ludwig, Max + U" demonstrates what happens when science and design come together—fact-based aesthetics with a learning effect.

With aesthetic exhibits, vivid graphics, and easy-to-understand texts, the exhibition makes science accessible to everyone. The spectrum of work ranges from the future of olive oil to the puberty of butterflies to the question of how the evolutionary history of humans can be traced using monkey urine. At the same time, it becomes clear how closely research is linked to social and ethical issues. The projects on display also deal with invisible care work and neglected tasks, sustainable scientific work, and how diversity can promote efficiency. Visitors are also invited to explore their own views on the topics on display and to participate in the LMU's science dialogue.

The exhibition provides information about the various fields of research in easy-to-understand language and draws connections to the everyday lives of visitors, inviting them to reflect on biodiversity and science. A selfie station allows visitors to capture themselves in the exhibition and thus become part of the LMU community.

Julia Otte (curator and project manager) will guide visitors through the exhibition.
